In 1878, Maximilian Berlitz created the Berlitz® Method whose conversational approach has continued being the most important factor in teaching languages today. Our method uses practical vocabulary and grammar simulating real-life situations, focusing on the conversation and learning the new language.

The teachers use a communication approach based on listening and speaking, supplementing it with important reading and writing exercises so that students acquire the new language with the same ease with which they learned their native language.

Levels of Berlitz language fluency

Berlitz has standardized 10 levels of fluency for its languages that range from functional to professional skills.

Berlitz group classes are organized by level so that students feel as comfortable as possible in the classroom.
